About the role
As a Polymer Process Development Engineer you will join Bosch’s R&D team focused on Polymer Assembly Interconnection Technology (AIT) for automotive and semiconductor applications. You will contribute to the design, development and industrialisation of new polymer materials and processes that enable next‑generation products.
Key responsibilities
- Develop material application processes and ensure they are industrialisation‑friendly.
- Manage risks associated with polymer AIT use in automotive and semiconductor products.
- Innovate new polymer AIT solutions for future automotive generations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including design, plant and purchasing across China, Germany, Hungary and Poland.
Required profile
- Master’s degree or higher in material engineering or mechanical engineering.
- Strong understanding of material performance and processability for automotive products.
- Familiarity with automotive and industry standards such as IPC and ISO.
- Fluent English; German is a plus.
- Self‑driven, customer‑oriented and strong ownership.
Required skills
- Python programming.
- Power BI for data visualisation.
- Basic AI/ML concepts (a plus).
