Planning Engineer – Hydraulics Erosion

About the role

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for manufacturing planning of the Hydraulics Erosion (HE) process at Bosch Powertrain Systems in Wuxi. This role focuses on implementing and continuously improving production plans, investment decisions, and quality standards to support high‑volume manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan manufacturing processes and investment for MAE based on TPZ and production plans.
• Generate requisition orders for purchase or services.
• Lead pre‑ and final acceptance, ramp‑up support for new machines and equipment.
• Prepare and maintain quality documents (FMEA, CP, work instructions) in line with RBCD policies.
• Implement Bosch Production System concepts from the planning phase.
• Apply quality tools in the workshop (SPC, Poka Yoke, PDCA, QAM).
• Release MAE and processes after coordination with releasing departments.
• Drive problem‑solving activities and evaluate operation flow, cycle time, machines, tools, and material needs.
• Coordinate cost‑reduction, quality‑improvement, and customer‑satisfaction projects.
• Support maintenance with spare‑parts planning and define wear‑off parts with purchasing.
• Prepare audit documentation and assist auditors during audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Fluent English (oral and written).
• Minimum three years of experience in planning or manufacturing high‑volume products.
• Computer literate in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Preference for experience with electrical discharge machining and hydraulic grinding processes.
• Preference for experience applying AI solutions.
