Performance Marketing Specialist – China

About the role

We are expanding our China Marketing team and are looking for a Performance Marketing Specialist to lead paid‑media planning and execution across the country. Based in Shanghai, you will work closely with local stakeholders and global teams to drive growth for our premium consumer brands.

Key responsibilities

• Design and launch full‑funnel performance campaigns on WeChat, RED, Weibo, Tmall, JD and other major Chinese platforms.
• Manage media budgets, audience segmentation, bidding strategies, A/B testing and ongoing optimization to meet KPIs such as CTR, CVR, CPA, ROAS and sales contribution.
• Oversee the performance media agency, ensuring accurate reporting, tracking set‑up and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with creative, social, e‑commerce and sales teams to produce high‑performing ad creatives and conversion‑focused assets.
• Support product launches, seasonal promotions and major shopping festivals (e.g., 618, Double 11).
• Identify growth opportunities through consumer insights, platform trends and competitive analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or a related field.
• 2–5 years of performance‑marketing experience in China, preferably with 3C, consumer electronics, fashion or lifestyle DTC brands.
• Hands‑on expertise with Douyin, RED, Tmall, JD and other paid‑media platforms.
• Strong analytical mindset, fluent English and Mandarin, and ability to work under pressure.
