About the role

We are looking for a Senior Tax Consultant to support our tax engagement team. The successful candidate will work closely with managers to deliver high‑quality tax advice to our clients and maintain strong relationships with tax authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist managers in handling tax engagements and client communications.
• Research tax assignments, draft advisory reports and ensure compliance with Chinese tax regulations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date tax knowledge and apply it to client projects.
• Coach and review the work of junior staff, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Maintain accurate tax documentation and records for audits and reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a consulting firm, preferably as a tax senior.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese tax laws and local practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team under pressure.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• CPA or Tax Advisor certification preferred.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Chinese tax law.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
