NPI Program Manager (Operations)

About the role

Formlabs is seeking an Operations Program Manager to lead new product introduction for its 3D printers and accessories in the Shenzhen Bay area. The role will own the end‑to‑end launch process, from concept through mass production, working closely with engineering, supply chain, quality and manufacturing partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead NPI programs for new 3D printers and accessories, meeting quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Develop and execute manufacturing plans, including capacity planning, production scheduling and materials management.
• Collaborate with engineering to apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and resolve production challenges.
• Manage relationships with contract manufacturers and key regional suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards and schedules.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency, reduce costs and enhance product quality.
• Proactively manage risks, create mitigation plans and escalate issues as needed.
• Communicate program status and updates to executive leadership and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; MBA a plus.
• 5+ years of operations program management experience in consumer electronics or high‑tech manufacturing.
• Proven track record of launching products into mass production.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control systems and supply chain management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese.
• Willingness to travel up to 40 %.
