NBI Sales Advisor

About the role

The NBI Sales Advisor will drive sales growth and ensure an excellent customer experience for marine products. Based in Shanghai, you will act as the trusted point‑of‑contact for customers, advising them on product selection, timing and procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, sustainable relationships with customers, acting as their primary advisor for marine product purchases.
• Proactively follow up quotes, identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities, and convert leads into orders.
• Manage high‑value enquiries and orders, coordinating with Order Processing Centres and Operations to ensure smooth transaction handling.
• Promote sales campaigns, promotions and initiatives to customers.
• Capture and record customer requirements in the system, supporting standardisation of requests.
• Assist Order Processing Coordinators with commercial and technical advice on RFQs and purchase orders.
• Handle customer complaints, warranty claims and product returns according to company policies.

Required profile

• Relevant education or work experience in sales, preferably within the shipping or marine industry.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to understand and adapt to client needs.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to turn opportunities into sales growth.

Required skills

• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of marine products and the shipping industry.
