MR Systems Architect – System Design & Integration

About the role

As a MR Systems Architect/Engineer at Philips, you will drive system definition, design integration, risk management, and technical problem solving for MR products. Working with global and local R&D teams, you will translate system‑level requirements into subsystem and component specifications to ensure product quality, reliability and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, define and manage system and subsystem requirements and support architecture design.
• Lead technical reviews, design reviews and feasibility studies, providing guidance throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Lead FMEA and risk management activities, drive defect management and root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Global System Engineering, System Architects, PMO and component teams to align stakeholders and drive decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MR Systems Engineering or medical imaging product development, with hands‑on system design and integration.
• Experience working in a global matrix organization is highly desirable.

• Root‑cause analysis and technical leadership.
• DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) and INCOSE CSEP certifications (preferred).
