Mechanical Design Engineer – Braking ECU Localization

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical localisation and development of Braking ECU systems in China. The role focuses on creating 3D models, 2D drawings and ensuring product design meets local manufacturing requirements. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise design, reduce cost and support mass production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical localisation of Braking ECU in China.
• Develop new product mechanical designs: create 3D models, 2D drawings, perform tolerance calculations and generate documentation.
• Localise mechanical components, resolve technical issues with suppliers and production lines together with functional teams.
• Conduct product benchmarking analysis and support continuous design optimisation, standardisation and cost reduction.
• Provide support during mass production, working closely with reliability, electronic, manufacturing, and purchasing teams.
• Adjust designs according to DfR and DFMA feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical‑electronic, mechanical engineering, automation or automobile engineering.
• Experience in mechanical design of plastic and metal components.
• Proficiency in 3D/2D CAD tools, preferably Creo/Pro/E.
• Ability to perform tolerance stack‑up analysis.
• Strong innovative mindset and awareness of technology trends.
• Proficient in reading and writing technical documents in English; oral English communication required.
