ME Manager (Structural Design Manager)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead our structural design team. You will be responsible for guiding the design of enclosures, high‑speed harnesses, and related mechanical components for electronic systems, ensuring reliability and manufacturability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of structural design engineers.
• Allocate resources and prioritize projects to meet product development milestones.
• Conduct performance reviews, career development planning, and technical training.
• Establish and maintain mechanical design guidelines, checklists, and best practices.
• Lead customer design reviews covering enclosure design, tolerancing, material selection, and reliability.
• Guide prototype builds, design verification testing, and reliability testing.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM), assembly (DFA), and cost‑effectiveness.
• Support production ramp‑up and resolve field structural issues.
• Lead technical discussions during supplier selection and qualification.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of mechanical design experience in electronic systems, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Experience designing high‑speed harnesses for servers, switches, or storage systems is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Creo, NX, or SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of high‑speed cable types and high‑speed harness design.
