Material Controller – STC Spares Management

About the role

We are looking for a Material Controller to manage STC spares inventory across the region, using statistical methods and close collaboration with logistics, product management and service hubs. The role ensures optimal stock levels, supports new product introductions and drives continuous improvement in supply chain performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inventory sizing of STC spares using statistical methodology and inputs from logistics planning, product management and service hubs.
• Oversee materials replenishment processes and maintain master data (ROP, lead‑times, source).
• Monitor spares availability performance, KPI reporting and work with supply teams to prioritize demands.
• Handle impacts of new product introductions, engineering changes and product obsolescence, adjusting supply routes and inventory plans.
• Maintain spares inventory across distribution centres, hubs and field locations to maximise service levels while minimising costs.
• Support availability modelling and sizing tools, ensuring health of STC spares.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Science or Business.
• 2–3 years of experience in supply chain or inventory management.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Strong analytical approach using quantitative tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Inventory management systems.
• Statistical methodology for inventory sizing.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with MAPICS or SAP.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
