Marketing Specialist

About the role

Frontiers is seeking a Marketing Specialist to boost the visibility and impact of its flagship initiatives across the China market. You will plan, localize, and execute digital marketing campaigns that connect researchers, educators, and the public with groundbreaking science.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute marketing campaigns for Frontiers flagship programs such as Frontiers for Young Minds, Frontiers in Science, and Planet Prize.
• Adapt and localize global campaign materials, messaging, and content for Chinese academic and public audiences.
• Monitor digital and social media trends to increase visibility, engagement, and impact.
• Track and analyze campaign performance metrics and provide data‑driven recommendations for optimization.
• Collaborate with marketing, editorial, design, and content teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
• Build relationships with researchers, influencers, agencies, and other external stakeholders.
• Organize and support events and outreach activities that strengthen Frontiers' presence within academic and scientific communities.
• Contribute creative ideas and content that support Frontiers' mission of making science open.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, communications, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of digital and social media platforms and audience‑engagement strategies.
• Experience creating, adapting, and promoting content for different target audiences.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
