Logistics Planning & Optimization Specialist

About the role

Join Hitachi Energy as a Logistics Planning & Optimization Specialist, where you will ensure efficient transport planning and execution to meet service level agreements. You will work closely with carriers, forwarders, and internal teams to maintain high performance and compliance across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and optimize transport routines using the transport management system, booking carriers/forwarders promptly.
• Monitor carrier logistics arrangements, cargo pickups, and customs operations to guarantee service performance.
• Maintain system data for transport requirements, track and trace shipments, and ensure data quality according to Incoterms.
• Collect proof of delivery, manage performance notifications, and coordinate recovery actions with the COE manager and plant.
• Investigate delays, identify root causes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3‑5 years of logistics experience, preferably in freight forwarding or manufacturing logistics.
• Strong knowledge of import/export logistics operations.
• Excellent communication skills and good command of English.
