Learning Support Coach

About the role

The Learning Support Coach works closely with teachers, counselors, and administrators to create an inclusive learning environment at Concordia International School Shanghai. The role involves direct instruction, collaborative planning, and professional development to support diverse learners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in differentiating instruction for all learning styles.
• Provide one‑on‑one, small‑group, and whole‑class support to students with special needs.
• Deliver professional development sessions for teachers, grade‑level teams, and special learning opportunities.
• Coordinate with external support service organizations to enhance student services.

Required profile

• Degree, license or endorsement in Special Education (required).
• Master's or advanced degree (preferred).
• Minimum two years of full‑time teaching experience in a Special Education program.
• Experience in a learning‑disabilities/resource room with relevant age/grade levels.
• Desirable experience in an international school setting, familiarity with the American curriculum, and work with culturally diverse populations.
• Willingness to attend TC Summer Institute and experience with co‑teaching, inclusion, or gifted‑and‑talented programs.
