Lead Retail Architect (APAC)

About the role

On is expanding its retail footprint across APAC and seeks a dynamic Lead Retail Architect to shape the future of performance retail. Reporting to the Senior Lead – Retail Design, you will own the end‑to‑end design process for new DTC and DMS store projects, translating the brand’s visual identity into compelling architectural solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full design lifecycle from concept through build‑out for new retail locations.
• Translate On’s brand values and visual identity into consistent store architecture.
• Manage the appointed design team to produce zoning concepts, 3D models, visualisations, sample boards and presentation packages.
• Ensure compliance with global design guidelines, local building codes, landlord criteria and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Collaborate with distributor clients, local architects, external vendors, contractors and suppliers to meet design standards and timelines.
• Review architectural drawings for alignment with approved design intent.
• Coordinate closely with Construction, Leasing, Retail Operations, Visual Experience, Merchandising and IT teams for smooth execution.
• Monitor progress, support landlord communications and conduct site visits as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• 8‑10 years of interior design experience for premium retail brands.
• Proven track record delivering retail concepts from concept to completion, including franchise or distributor‑operated stores.
• Strong English proficiency (working level).
• Experience with local building codes, accessibility regulations and construction constraints.
• Ability to manage multiple fast‑paced projects and tight deadlines.
