Junior Retail Designer

About the role

As a Junior Retail Designer you will support the design and planning of H&M retail spaces, turning brand concepts into architectural drawings and project documentation. Working alongside senior designers, you will develop technical skills while contributing to high‑quality store projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creation of architectural drawings that reflect H&M’s brand DNA, identity and commercial goals.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing design packages and construction documents under senior guidance.
• Help improve retail concepts, design guidelines and work processes with relevant stakeholders.
• Produce clear visual materials such as plans, sections, 3D models and visualisations.
• Maintain organised documentation for smooth hand‑overs to internal and external partners.
• Support project follow‑up activities, gather learnings and identify insights.
• Communicate with colleagues, contractors, consultants and other H&M Group teams to ensure coordinated project delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to find optimal solutions for each space and integrate feedback.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1‑3 years of experience in retail architecture or interior design, preferably commercial space planning.
• Basic understanding of retail project stages and eagerness to learn.
• Proactive mindset with strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to support multiple projects with guidance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Experience with AutoCAD Architecture.
• Familiarity with other CAD software for 2D/3D design.
• Ability to create 2D plans, sections and 3D visualisations.
