Junior Operator (Entry Level)

About the role

Dow is seeking a Junior Operator to join its plant operations team. This entry‑level position involves operating assigned equipment and supporting plant processes under moderate supervision. The role offers the chance to develop technical skills on the job while contributing to safe and efficient plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assigned equipment and plant areas with close to moderate supervision.
• Follow operating discipline policies, procedures, and standards to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
• Monitor process conditions, key performance metrics, equipment and control systems, and make decisions to maintain desired rates.
• Perform scheduled operational tasks and respond to unplanned events.
• Collaborate with shift team members to balance workload and meet task deadlines.
• Conduct effective shift relief and handover communications.
• Maintain qualifications and complete training goals in a timely manner.
• Perform Immediate Response activities as assigned.
• Initiate and document preliminary investigations and participate in root cause investigations.
• Track and utilize plant performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
