Junior Lawyer – Power2 Talent Program

About the role

As a Junior Lawyer you will join Hitachi Energy’s Legal and Integrity Department in Beijing for an 18‑month fixed‑term Power2 Talent program. You will work on a variety of legal matters, supporting both regional and global projects while developing the skills needed for a long‑term legal career in a multinational energy company.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Regional Head of Legal and Country Heads in providing legal advice and managing dispute and litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
• Support contract review and negotiation, including frame agreements, contracts, and partnerships.
• Participate in the development and implementation of legal strategies and corporate governance initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and Group directives, and monitor integrity and due‑diligence activities.
• Manage relationships with external legal service providers.
• Contribute to local and group legal and integrity directives.
• Engage in continuous learning through the Legal and Integrity learning program.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in law.
• 0‑2 years of experience; bar admission preferred but not mandatory.
• Agile mindset with a strong desire to learn.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in technology and process improvement.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and ethical standards.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
