About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to provide end‑user and infrastructure support within a digital workplace environment. The role combines desktop assistance, asset management and server administration to ensure smooth operation of hardware, software and network services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support via phone, email, chat or ticketing system, troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues.
• Configure, install and maintain user devices such as desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers, telephony and mobile devices.
• Manage local asset inventory, conduct regular checks of meeting‑room equipment and coordinate repairs.
• Set up user accounts, perform password resets, and manage authentication methods including multi‑factor authentication.
• Deliver training on office tools and hardware to employees.
• Maintain Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, including installation, patching, performance tuning and monitoring.
• Administer VMware vSphere virtual infrastructure and backup solutions, performing restores and data recovery as needed.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Java, Python) and use configuration management tools such as Ansible to standardise deployments.
• Escalate complex issues to higher‑level support teams and ensure timely communication with users.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering end‑user technical support in a corporate setting.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux (RHEL) and virtualisation technologies.
• Ability to manage hardware assets and provide on‑site assistance for meetings and events.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and capacity to document and follow up on incidents.
