Integrated Logistics Operations Specialist – Japanese Speaking

About the role

As a member of the Freight Forwarding team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will support the planning and execution of transport operations, ensuring seamless supply‑chain processes for a variety of customers. The role combines daily reporting, document handling, and direct customer interaction, with a focus on both sea‑ and air‑freight movements.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily operational reports.
• Validate, store, and manage shipping documents.
• Process inbound and outbound transport requests across all modes, securing equipment and arranging pickups/deliveries.
• Provide professional phone and email support to customers.
• Coordinate communication with shipping/receiving points and carriers.
• Monitor shipment status, address deviations, and escalate issues to line management.
• Support new process implementation by testing solutions and providing feedback.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of customer service or operations experience in sea‑freight or air‑freight.
• Experience in a 4PL environment is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication skills and professional business etiquette.
• Fluent in both English and Japanese.
