HPC and AI Cluster Engineer

About the role

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced HPC and AI Cluster Engineer to join its Networking Clusters Solutions team. You will work on cutting‑edge supercomputers and AI clusters, collaborating with researchers, developers, and customers to build high‑performance platforms that drive breakthroughs in artificial intelligence and GPU computing.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and maintain large‑scale HPC/AI clusters.
• Administer Linux job scheduling and orchestration tools such as Slurm and Kubernetes.
• Support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Troubleshoot issues from bare metal through OS, software stack, and applications.
• Assist R&D activities and conduct proof‑of‑concept projects for future improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience with HPC and AI solution technologies, including CPUs, GPUs, and high‑speed interconnects.
• Strong knowledge of Linux (Red Hat/CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows networking, security, and protocols.
• Hands‑on experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM).

Required skills

• Job scheduling/orchestration: Slurm, Kubernetes.
• Programming/scripting: Python, Bash.
• Automation and CI/CD: Jenkins, Ansible, GitOps.
• GPU‑focused hardware/software: NVIDIA DGX, CUDA.
• Storage solutions: Lustre, GPFS and emerging technologies.
• RDMA fabrics: InfiniBand, RoCE.
• Understanding of CPU/GPU architecture and container‑based microservices.
