Hardware Engineer – eBike Connected Devices

About the role
Bosch is looking for a hardware engineer to develop and industrialize electronic components for eBike connected devices, including displays, power systems, remote controls and sensors. The role involves full lifecycle responsibility from concept to series production.
Key responsibilities
- Translate product requirements into hardware circuit designs, create schematics and layout, and conduct testing of displays, power modules, remote controls and sensors.
- Coordinate with production plants and suppliers, generate documentation for mass production, and support industrialization (pre‑SOP) activities on site.
- Analyze test data, identify and resolve issues during ramp‑up and series production, and drive cost‑saving measures.
- Work within multidisciplinary international teams, share expertise and ensure alignment of designs, tests and specifications across eBike locations.
- Provide technical support to EMS suppliers on EQ/TQ, component alternatives and troubleshooting.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronics, mechatronics or computer engineering.
- Minimum five years of experience in electronics design or manufacturing, preferably in international, multidisciplinary environments.
- Proven ability to design EMC‑compliant hardware and to work with high‑speed signals, impedance matching and noise reduction.
- Strong English communication skills and willingness to travel domestically and abroad to suppliers and partners.
Required skills
- PCB design and assembly (soldering, interconnect technologies)
- Schematic and layout tools such as Altium Designer or Zuken
- EMC compliance standards, testing and debugging
- High‑speed signal design, impedance matching and noise cancellation
- Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
- Bluetooth, CAN bus and other embedded communication protocols
- DC‑DC converters, LDO regulators, wireless charging, USB‑C and Power Delivery
- Lithium‑battery handling and related certification knowledge
- Knowledge of automotive development processes and standards
