Global Communications Manager – Gaming

About the role

Tencent is seeking an experienced Global Communications Manager to lead communications for its gaming portfolio. Based in Shenzhen, you will work closely with game publishing and business teams to shape and deliver integrated communication strategies that enhance Tencent’s global gaming presence.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with global game publishing and business teams to design and execute international communications plans supporting business objectives and major game launches.
• Create high‑quality communication assets such as press releases, messaging frameworks, executive talking points, FAQs, and media briefs.
• Lead and coordinate multi‑market communications projects, ensuring consistent messaging across regions.
• Monitor global gaming, technology and business media coverage, delivering timely insights and recommendations.
• Build and maintain relationships with international gaming, technology and mainstream media, handling inquiries and interview opportunities.
• Track industry trends, regulatory changes and public sentiment, translating findings into actionable communications advice.
• Collaborate with Legal, Public Affairs, Product, Publishing, Marketing and regional teams on sensitive or high‑profile topics.
• Support crisis communications and issues management when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications or strategic communications.
• Proven experience in an international technology company, gaming company or global PR agency.
• Strong understanding of the global media landscape and ability to work across cultures.
