About the role
We are looking for a General Ledger Accountant to manage the full set of accounting activities for our U.S. manufacturing plant. The role ensures accurate financial reporting in line with US GAAP and supports month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the full set of general ledger accounting for the U.S. plant, including journal entries, accruals, amortization, manufacturing overhead allocation, and period‑end adjustments.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual closings to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and maintain audit‑ready work papers.
- Perform reconciliations for fixed assets, inventory, work‑in‑progress, accounts receivable/payable, and intercompany balances, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of fixed‑asset accounting, organize physical asset counts, and assess impairment in compliance with US GAAP.
- Support inventory counts, review standard cost variances, and ensure inventory valuation complies with applicable accounting standards.
- Prepare US GAAP financial statements and group reporting packages to support consolidation.
- Coordinate with external auditors and SOX internal‑control testing teams, prepare supporting documentation, respond to inquiries, and drive remediation of internal‑control findings.
- Collaborate with production, supply chain, and procurement departments to resolve business‑financial issues and optimize accounting processes.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience; manufacturing industry background preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with hands‑on experience in inventory, costing, fixed assets, and capitalization.
- Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills for reconciliation and financial analysis.
- Working knowledge of SOX internal controls and practical experience in audit coordination.
- Fluency in English with the ability to handle professional communication and financial documentation independently.
- Detail‑oriented, able to work under closing‑cycle pressure, and strong cross‑functional collaboration skills.
