About the role
The United Nations Resident Coordinator Office (RCO) in China is seeking a motivated Front Office Intern to support its administrative and coordination functions. This six‑month, full‑time, unpaid internship offers a unique opportunity to observe how the UN system operates at the country level and to contribute to the coherence of UN activities in China.
Key responsibilities
- Provide coordination and administrative assistance at the Front Office.
- Draft, format, and circulate official correspondences for the Resident Coordinator.
- Offer simple translation and interpretation services when required.
- Maintain chrono filing, archives, and the contact information database.
- Perform ad‑hoc tasks assigned by the Executive Associate.
Required profile
- Enrolled in or recent graduate of a relevant university program.
- Strong interest in international development and UN operations.
- Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
