Finance Manager – Controlling

About the role

The Finance Manager – Controlling will lead financial control, compliance and governance activities across the organization. You will partner with the regional Shared Service Centre and business stakeholders to drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and support growth initiatives and strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with PRC and IFRS standards, coordinating with the Shared Service Centre in Malaysia.
• Ensure all statutory filing requirements are met, including monthly financial statements, local tax filings, statistical reports, and annual SAIC reports.
• Manage the annual financial audit process and liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Establish, monitor, and enforce an effective internal controls environment.
• Identify best practices, drive continuous improvement, and embed them into the organization.
• Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, work processes, and reporting systems to support growth and efficiency.
• Support treasury initiatives and reporting requirements.
• Lead and project‑manage financial aspects of company growth initiatives and strategies.
• Coordinate local operation of the SSC (AP, AR, GL) to ensure compliance with policies, standards and regulations.
• Assist in audit readiness and preparation for future compliance audits.
• Safeguard company seals and ensure document compliance.

Required skills

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or finance.
• Qualified accountant with CPA, ACCA or local equivalent certification.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong project‑management experience.
• Proficiency with SAP/ERP systems.
• Experience in audit and risk management (preferred).
• Fluency in English and the local language.
