About the role
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) is seeking outstanding scholars to join its Internet of Things (IoT) Thrust. Positions are available at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor levels across AI, cybersecurity, microelectronics, data science and related areas.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and lead cutting‑edge research projects in IoT, AI, security, embedded systems and related fields.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science, electrical engineering and data science.
- Supervise master’s and PhD students, fostering their academic and professional growth.
- Secure external research funding and collaborate with industry partners.
- Contribute to the strategic development of the IoT Thrust and university initiatives.
Required profile
- PhD in a discipline relevant to IoT, AI, cybersecurity, microelectronics or data science.
- Demonstrated strong research record with publications in top venues (e.g., SIGCOMM, CCS, CHI, IEEE/ACM journals).
- Potential for high‑impact teaching and mentorship.
- For senior ranks, evidence of international leadership and substantial funding.
