Due Diligence Director – China

About the role

The Due Diligence Director for China leads cross‑functional teams of subject‑matter experts to evaluate external partnership opportunities across all development stages. Reporting to the Therapeutic Area leadership, the role ensures rigorous, balanced, and timely scientific and technical due‑diligence assessments for out‑licensing projects in China.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate scientific/technical due‑diligence activities, including focused and full‑assessment reviews.
• Develop integrated development plans, cost estimates, and risk‑management strategies.
• Ensure compliance with confidentiality obligations and internal due‑diligence processes.
• Prepare and present findings to senior decision bodies such as the Executive Committee and Deal Committee.
• Collaborate with Finance, TechOps, Commercial and Transaction teams to align assumptions, target product profiles, and financial valuations (e.g., NPV).
• Contribute to deal documentation, term sheets, and contracts by highlighting key risks and recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading due‑diligence efforts in the pharmaceutical or biotech sector.
• Strong understanding of drug development, regulatory, and commercial considerations.
• Ability to manage confidential information and work with senior leadership.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
