Development Engineer – Hydraulic Pipe Design

About the role

The Development Engineer will be responsible for hydraulic pipe design within the automotive R&D environment, translating customer requirements into detailed technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements, identify CC&SC, and create DFMEA/checklist documents.
• Complete accurate drawing design efficiently and verify the Bill of Materials.
• Create DVP, lead project team reviews, and support test engineers in test execution and result assessment.
• Participate in design reviews of new tooling and processes, providing suggestions.
• Track new product trials, monitor assembly results, and improve designs accordingly.
• Review external data, technical agreements, and drawings before release.
• Collect and analyze industry standards and test methods.
• Support team leader in optimizing the product database and create training databases for junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of R&D experience in the automotive industry.
• Fluent English with strong cross‑cultural communication skills.
• Strategic thinking, proactive attitude, and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software (Catia, SolidWorks).
• Experience using Office applications.
• Knowledge of DFMEA and DVP processes.
• Familiarity with BOM management.
