Data Engineer – Azure & Power BI

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain our business Data Warehouse and Datamart models. The role combines technical expertise in Azure cloud services with strong Power BI reporting skills to deliver reliable data pipelines and analytics across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Data Warehouse/Datamart models aligned with business needs.
• Build modern, scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on Azure (Synapse, Databricks, dbt).
• Create automated Power BI reports and dashboards driven by the data models.
• Collaborate with IT developers and subject‑matter experts to ensure data accuracy and proper cloud representation.
• Resolve deployment incidents, monitor operational issues, and maintain technical documentation.
• Support business users in building their own dashboards and analytics, and assist project teams with data extracts and proof‑of‑concepts.
• Implement data‑governance practices, including data dictionaries, quality monitoring and related documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, Azure cloud services and Power BI.
• Proven experience architecting data solutions on Azure and working with big‑data, analytics and database modeling.
• Ability to take ownership of solutions and deliver user‑focused outcomes.
• Experience collaborating with business users and IT teams in an agile environment.
• Knowledge of insurance products and tools such as n8n, Claude Code or Copilot Studio is a plus.
