Consulting Analyst – Shanghai

About the role

Applied Value’s analyst program places you at the heart of its Management Consulting business. You will work on case teams, gaining exposure to strategy and operations projects, and when not on client assignments you will be based in the Shanghai office. You will receive mentorship from a junior and a senior coach throughout your tenure.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in case work across strategy and operations, delivering analyses and recommendations for clients.
• Take ownership of project tasks from day one, including contributing to the sales process by identifying prospects, preparing materials, and attending sales meetings.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required to support client engagements.

Required profile

• Fluent in Chinese and English with a master’s degree from a top academic institution; degrees in Engineering, Business or Economics are preferred.
• Decisive, results‑oriented, highly motivated and comfortable working in an unstructured environment.
• Demonstrated leadership, business acumen and financial skills; willingness to travel.
• Relevant internships or experience in start‑ups, general management, engineering, sales or marketing are a plus.
