Commercial Director, Regional Key Account Management APAC

About the role

Brenntag is looking for a Commercial Director for its Regional Key Account Management function covering APAC, including China and Hong Kong. The role develops and profitably grows assigned Brenntag Global and Regional Key Accounts, leading a team of Regional Key Account Managers and holding P&L accountability for key account sales, volume and gross profit targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team of Regional Key Account Managers to meet budget goals and execute Brenntag strategies.
• Set and execute regional strategies and targets with P&L accountability, and build and maintain key account knowledge.
• Investigate new opportunities such as cross-selling and coordinate key account developments across countries with Account Managers.
• Work with Global Key Account Managers from other regions to expand product offerings, strengthen loyalty and differentiate Brenntag as the preferred distributor partner.
• Build strong customer relationships with principal contacts at all levels of the customer organisation and respond promptly to customer inquiries.
• Expand relationships with key global and regional suppliers to create new product offerings and improve competitiveness.
• Mentor country-level Key Account Managers responsible for sales at local customer sites.
• Complete periodic reports and administrative tasks on time.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, science or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of sales and marketing experience.
• Strong learning agility, independence and self-motivation, with a strong bottom-line orientation.
• Fluent English (verbal and written) and strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Able to anticipate the needs of multiple stakeholders and to travel within APAC as required.

Required skills

• Good analytical skills and understanding of financial statements.
• Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
• Familiarity with platforms such as SAP and CRM.
