China Supply Chain Operations Manager

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Manager for its contract manufacturing sites in Shanghai. The role will oversee production, supply chain, and component localization while acting as the liaison between global teams, Chinese business units, suppliers and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations at contract manufacturing sites, ensuring compliance with NMPA audits and GMP requirements.
• Oversee end‑to‑end supply chain from demand planning to component inventory, guaranteeing raw material readiness.
• Coordinate with procurement, QA and R&D to implement component localization strategies and participate in supplier audits.
• Lead strategic supply‑chain projects, collaborating with global resources, IT experts, cross‑functional teams and customers from design through hyper‑care.
• Plan and execute stock transfers between distribution centres, maintain inventory health and develop weekly bundle production plans.
• Drive continuous improvement by managing KPIs, SOPs, master data, contracts and the supply‑chain website, and conduct internal audits.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing operations in a contract manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, NMPA regulations and supply‑chain best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional projects and strategic initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills to interface with global, regional and supplier stakeholders.
