Cargo Supervisor – Guangzhou

About the role

The Cargo Supervisor will lead a team of agents at Etihad Airways’ Guangzhou hub, coordinating with maintenance and guest services to ensure smooth airport operations. This role focuses on overseeing cargo handling, network operations, and turnaround activities to meet safety standards and performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the utilization of airport resources and equipment, ensuring operations follow working instructions, safety procedures and company policies.
• Coordinate and control cargo handling and network operations, guaranteeing compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Provide clear operating instructions to the team, ensuring timely execution of activities.
• Monitor timeliness and accuracy of operations, aligning performance with KPIs and internal/external regulations.
• Oversee Etihad Airways and other airlines’ turnaround operations to improve on‑time performance at the hub.
• Manage extraordinary loading operations, ensuring adherence to carrier procedures and regulations.
• Conduct briefing and de‑briefing sessions to identify improvement areas.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education (preferred).
• Minimum 4 years of operational experience in airline, cargo, or ground handling environments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of airport safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in supervising airport resources and equipment.
• Ability to coordinate multi‑stakeholder operations and manage KPIs.
