Business Development Manager

About the role

Bose is looking for a strategic, technically credible Business Development Manager to accelerate growth of its Automotive Technology Solutions business. The role focuses on creating new software and platform opportunities, influencing future vehicle architecture, and expanding Bose’s audio and active‑sound technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and develop new software, IP and platform opportunities aligned with growth strategy, building a robust pipeline of scalable, recurring‑revenue deals.
• Develop account and market penetration strategies for targeted OEMs, Tier‑1 suppliers and technology partners, driving concept‑phase engagement and influencing vehicle roadmaps.
• Build trusted relationships with technical and engineering teams, translate customer needs into product and platform concepts, and lead workshops and proof‑of‑concepts.
• Shape reusable software platforms that can scale across multiple OEMs, support licensing and monetization strategies, and provide competitive intelligence.
• Define ecosystem and partnership strategies to expand Bose technology adoption through third‑party platforms.
• Support pricing, licensing, forecasting and revenue forecasting to ensure alignment with long‑term business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Business, Technology Management or related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in business development, technical sales, product strategy or strategic partnerships within the automotive software ecosystem.
• Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, licensing, forecasting and business‑case development.
• Proven ability to develop growth strategies and manage a pipeline of opportunities.
