Business Development Manager

About the role

GlobalData is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its portfolio of specialised information solutions for the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical research sectors in Mainland China and Hong Kong. You will introduce new clients to our subscription‑based data, market intelligence and competitor analysis services, helping them make strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Sell mid‑value, specialised information solutions covering pharmaceutical subscription data, sales intelligence, strategy intelligence, market intelligence, competitor intelligence and innovation intelligence.
• Identify and engage new‑logo prospects in pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotech, medical research and professional services.
• Conduct business development activities primarily through phone outreach and live online demonstrations to C‑suite executives.
• Craft tailored business propositions that align with each prospect’s objectives and desired outcomes.
• Achieve monthly new‑business targets and contribute to the overall growth of the sales team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotech or medical research sectors.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information to senior decision‑makers.
• Self‑motivated, ambitious and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
