Business Development Manager – Engineering

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a Business Development Manager – Engineering to drive new plant and marine business opportunities across China. You will work closely with regional sales teams, partners and technical consultants to expand the adoption of AVEVA’s engineering portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and support the closure of new engineering projects in plant and marine sectors.
• Motivate and assist regional sales teams in developing pipeline opportunities for assigned product lines.
• Collaborate with AVEVA’s sales leadership, partner/channel teams, and pre‑sales consultants to craft compelling value propositions.
• Lead high‑level technical conversations with customers, highlighting competitive advantages and differentiation.
• Contribute to the design and execution of sales and marketing campaigns based on market trends.

Required profile

• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Deep knowledge of plant and marine engineering domains, including market dynamics and competition.
• Self‑driven, proactive, with strong lead‑generation and pipeline‑building capabilities.
• Proven ability to lead or integrate into customer‑engagement teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills.
