BSP Development Engineer (BCSC)

About the role

Join Bosch as a BSP Development Engineer to create and customize board support package software for customer projects on QNX, Linux and Android platforms. You will work closely with the hardware team to bring up embedded platforms and ensure seamless integration of drivers and bootloaders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop BSP software components for QNX, Linux and Android.
• Bring up embedded hardware platforms together with the hardware team.
• Design and customize bootloaders such as XBL and U‑boot.
• Develop and integrate on‑chip drivers (I2C, SPI, UART, USB) and camera/display drivers.
• Track and resolve BSP‑level issues, supporting testing and validation.
• Trim Linux kernel and root filesystem to meet project specifications.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Communication or related fields.
• Proficiency in C/C++ with solid debugging skills.
• Familiarity with operating system principles and computer architecture.
• Understanding of common hardware interfaces and protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, DP, DSI, CSI).
• Experience with embedded boot sequences and bootloaders.

Required skills

• C and C++ programming.
• QNX, Linux and Android device driver models.
• Bootloader development (XBL, U‑boot).
• Hardware interface protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, USB, DP, DSI, CSI.
• Linux V4L2, DRM, QNX screen, AIS for camera and display integration.
