Associate Scientist - Laboratory Services

About the role

This role is responsible for the accurate execution of laboratory experiments and contributes to the design of scientific procedures. It supports the development of scientific discovery and helps maintain Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) for the customer. The position works in line with the ICH E6 Guideline for Good Clinical Practice.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine qualitative and quantitative laboratory procedures with minimal supervision, following all safety protocols and GLP as defined by the customer
• Prepare experiments and samples for analysis
• Analyze and report results accurately and on time, contributing to scientific meetings and project outcomes
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and troubleshoot according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Document all procedures accurately according to customer requirements
• Carry out other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in applied or laboratory sciences with direct laboratory coursework
• 2-3 years of direct laboratory experience
• Ability to conform to customer requirements for background checks, health and safety, security clearances and medical checkups
• Able to lift 25 lbs minimum

• Ability to understand and follow scientific protocols, policies and procedures
• Basic computing skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)
• Prioritizing tasks, problem solving and meeting deadlines
