Associate, Research & Analysis

About the role

As an Associate, Research & Analysis in International Banking – China Portfolio, you will manage a portfolio of International Banking clients in China, delivering high‑quality research, analysis and credit risk assessment. You will identify, assess and manage risks across clients' business models, industries, capital structures, management frameworks and financial performance, working closely with Relationship Managers, Risk partners and Product partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of International Banking clients in China.
• Prepare high‑quality credit papers that clearly identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to evaluate client performance, capital structure and financial strength.
• Perform industry research to spot emerging trends, opportunities and risks.
• Deliver well‑supported credit recommendations based on thorough analysis.
• Monitor portfolio performance and conduct regular risk‑grade reviews.
• Manage portfolio events and ensure timely escalation of risk‑related matters.
• Partner with Relationship Managers, Risk teams and Product partners to ensure compliance with policy, regulatory and portfolio requirements.

Required profile

• Ability to work collaboratively with Relationship Managers, Risk teams and Product partners.
• Full‑time, permanent role based in Shanghai, China.
