Associate Manager, Clinical Research

About the role

The Associate Manager, Clinical Research is responsible for end‑to‑end performance and project management of assigned clinical protocols in China. Working closely with Country Operations and the Clinical Trial Team, the role ensures compliance with ICH/GCP, local regulations, and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned protocols, linking Country Operations with the clinical trial team.
• Plan, drive, and track execution of study deliverables from feasibility and site selection through recruitment, execution, and close‑out.
• Review monitoring visit reports, flag performance issues, and coordinate quality‑control visits.
• Lead local study teams, provide protocol training, and coordinate activities across CRAs, CTCs, and COMs.
• Develop and execute local risk‑management plans for each study.
• Ensure proper use of CTMS, eTMF, and other key systems.
• Collaborate with outsourcing vendors, investigators, and external partners, representing the company in a customer‑facing capacity.
• Escalate challenges to TA‑Head, CRD, or CTT and share best practices across teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 + years of experience in clinical research, preferably with CRA experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline.
• Strong understanding of local regulatory environment and ICH/GCP guidelines.
• Proven project‑management and site‑management capabilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin communication skills.
