Associate Accountant – Intercompany

About the role

The Associate Accountant – Intercompany supports Eaton's global finance operations by handling daily intercompany payables and receivables. The role provides prompt service to internal customers, ensures compliance with company policies, and contributes to continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily intercompany AP/AR transactions and close sub‑ledgers.
• Respond to supplier, customer, and internal inquiries in a timely manner.
• Verify, analyze, investigate, and reconcile intercompany discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external outsourcers to resolve transaction issues.
• Identify process risks, propose solutions, and escalate as needed.
• Support internal and external auditors for US reporting, local reporting, and SOX compliance.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for intercompany balance‑sheet accounts.
• Maintain and update standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably with intercompany functions.
• Strong communication skills in Chinese and English (spoken and written).
• Ability to work independently under pressure and demonstrate self‑motivation.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to take responsibility.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle financial systems.
