Assistant Merchandiser

About the role

Centric Brands is seeking an Assistant Merchandiser to support its senior merchandising team in the full‑cycle process of product development, sourcing and order management. The role will help ensure timely sample delivery, accurate costing and smooth coordination between factories, vendors and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior merchandiser/manager with sourcing new fabrics, trims and factory resources for seasonal collections.
• Coordinate distribution of fabric and garment samples to mills and factories, track sample status and provide regular updates to New York teams.
• Prepare and organize costing packages, communicate with vendors, compile comparison sheets and support price discussions under supervision.
• Follow up on orders, track production timelines, verify purchase order documents and ensure on‑time delivery.
• Monitor factory production progress, schedule inspections and arrange shipping space.
• Support resolution of discrepancies between buyers and vendors and facilitate cross‑functional communication.

• Organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
