Assistant Manager - Personnel

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Personnel will support the HR Director in shaping and executing HR policies for a leading hotel. This role ensures compliance with group standards and local regulations while driving effective recruitment, onboarding, and employee development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement hotel HR policies in line with group standards and local laws.
• Own the full recruitment cycle: needs analysis, channel expansion, resume screening, interview coordination, and hiring decisions.
• Manage employee onboarding, confirmation, transfers, and departures, maintaining accurate personnel files and HR system data.
• Plan and deliver training and development programs to raise team professionalism and service quality.
• Handle employee relations matters, including complaints, dispute mediation, and disciplinary actions.
• Assist with salary and benefits research, payroll calculations, social security and housing fund contributions, and annual salary adjustments.
• Organise employee activities and promote corporate culture to boost satisfaction and belonging.
• Analyse HR data regularly and produce metrics reports such as recruitment costs and turnover rates for management.

Required profile

• College degree or higher.
• Minimum 3 years of HR experience in large organisations, with at least 3 years focused on recruitment.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment processes and various sourcing channels.
• Proficiency in multiple talent assessment or interview techniques.
• Quick thinker, passionate, with strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
