Assistant Manager, China Markets Operations

About the role

ANZ is looking for an Assistant Manager to support daily operational activities for its China Markets business. You will ensure accurate trade processing, settlements, reconciliations, risk controls and regulatory reporting across a broad range of market products.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end processing of Markets products, ensuring timely trade capture, confirmation, settlement and reconciliation.
• Monitor and resolve operational exceptions, manage risks and strengthen controls to maintain a robust operating environment.
• Support issue resolution and service delivery across local and global teams.
• Act as primary contact for operational matters with Front Office, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Technology and other operations teams.
• Lead regulatory reporting activities, support regulatory change initiatives and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Drive process improvements, automation opportunities and strategic projects to enhance operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in Markets Operations, Treasury Operations or Capital Markets Operations.
• Strong knowledge of end‑to‑end processes across Markets products.
• Proven experience managing operational risk, controls and regulatory requirements within banking.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and support team members.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
