Assistant Architect

About the role

The Assistant Architect will support multiple projects from concept through construction, delivering coordinated designs that meet client requirements and industry standards. You will work closely with senior architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure high‑quality, safe, and sustainable building solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concept, basic, and detailed construction designs for a variety of building types.
• Prepare work packages, tender documentation, and design reports.
• Coordinate designs with Exyte standards, local authority codes, client URS, and best‑practice guidelines such as GMP, GLP, LEED, and Green Building.
• Lead and attend project meetings, site walks, and design reviews, producing clear minutes and action items.
• Inspect construction sites to verify safety, quality, schedule adherence, and compliance with design documents.
• Identify and resolve detailing or coordination issues, manage change orders, and proactively mitigate project risks.
• Promote safety awareness and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in general building, life‑science (GMP), and optionally high‑technology or modular projects.
• Strong ability to manage time and resources, produce logical documentation, and communicate effectively in English and Mandarin.
• Hands‑on sketching skills for rapid idea generation.
