About the role
UNStudio, an international architectural practice, is seeking an Architectural Designer to join its Shanghai office. The role involves contributing to a diverse portfolio of residential, cultural, retail and commercial projects while working in a multidisciplinary, design‑driven environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop concept designs and detailed 3D/2D representations for a variety of project typologies.
- Produce technical drawings and coordinate with engineering and construction teams.
- Resolve design challenges through innovative thinking and complex geometry modelling.
- Collaborate closely with senior designers and mentor junior team members.
- Maintain high design quality while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
Required profile
- Minimum 4 years of experience as an architectural designer at a leading international design firm.
- Proven involvement in built projects across residential, cultural, retail and commercial sectors.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility and ability to communicate ideas clearly in English.
- Proactive, self‑motivated and team‑oriented with a commitment to continuous learning.
