AI Engineer – Computer Vision (Manufacturing)

About the role

We are looking for an AI Engineer with deep expertise in computer vision and deep learning to accelerate Bosch’s digital transformation in manufacturing. The role will bridge research and production, delivering AI‑driven inspection, predictive maintenance and intelligent automation solutions for our Suzhou plant.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with plant teams and product managers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, train and deploy classical vision algorithms and deep‑learning models for industrial inspection, anomaly detection and real‑time automation.
• Develop Agentic AI workflows using Large Language Models (LLMs) for tasks such as document processing, automated reporting and decision support.
• Integrate time‑series sensor data with visual data to create multimodal AI solutions for predictive maintenance and process optimisation.
• Work with engineering teams to move prototypes to production, including edge‑computing deployment on the manufacturing line.

Required profile

• Strong background in computer vision and deep learning with hands‑on experience in object detection, segmentation and anomaly detection.
• Familiarity with Agentic AI concepts and LLM frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Experience processing time‑series data and applying statistical and numerical methods.
• Proficient programming skills, preferably in Python, with knowledge of C++ and model optimisation techniques.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas to cross‑functional teams and drive solutions from research to production.
