AI Engineer – Computer Vision & Agentic AI

About the role

We are looking for an AI Engineer to lead the transformation of Bosch’s manufacturing systems using advanced computer vision, deep learning and agentic AI technologies. The role sits within the digital transformation team and works closely with product managers, solution architects, developers and data engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and plant teams to gather requirements and define technical specifications.
• Design, train and deploy computer vision and deep learning models for industrial inspection, ensuring accuracy, robustness and real‑time performance.
• Develop agentic AI workflows with large language models (LLMs) for tasks such as intelligent document processing, automated reporting and decision support.
• Process and analyse time‑series sensor data together with visual data to create predictive‑maintenance and process‑optimization solutions.
• Partner with engineering teams to move AI prototypes to production, including edge‑computing integration on the manufacturing line.

• Excellent communication skills to work with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Computer vision and deep learning (object detection, semantic/instance segmentation, anomaly detection).
• Experience with large language models and agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Time‑series data processing and feature engineering.
• Solid foundation in statistics, linear algebra and numerical optimisation.
• Proficient programming in Python (preferred) or C++, with knowledge of model optimisation and edge deployment.
