Accounting Controller

About the role

The Accounting Controller acts as the linking pin between Koch Financial Services, International Reporting, and the business units, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. You will own the end‑result of financial statements and support business partners with accounting expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Review balance sheet and P&L regularly to reflect reality and manage expectations.
• Participate in finance‑related optimisation and integration projects.
• Serve as primary contact for business partners on financial reporting queries.
• Advise and coach execution centres to drive operational excellence.
• Identify and align process‑improvement initiatives with business decision‑making.
• Ensure correct periodic corporate reporting and support statutory filing approvals.
• Implement internal‑control, tax‑improvement, and master‑data accuracy initiatives.
• Perform other accounting or finance activities as allocated within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or related field (RA/CPA preferred).
• Minimum 2 years experience in a multinational corporate finance environment.
• Experience working in a shared service centre and collaborating with business units.
• Good knowledge of SAP and One Stream (preferred).
• Involvement in IT optimisation or automation projects is a plus.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP, local GAAP and tax accounting principles.
• Manufacturing or trading cost and gross‑margin analysis experience is advantageous.
• Fluent English (both written and spoken); Japanese is a plus.
