Account Manager – Solutions (Scientific Databases)

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Account Manager to join our Beijing team and help grow our scientific database and solutions portfolio. You will work across Research Intelligence, Life Sciences, or Engineering product lines, building strong relationships with customers and driving revenue through new sales, renewals, and upsell opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute account plans that align with revenue targets, identifying key stakeholders and budget processes.
• Conduct needs analysis, qualify leads, and collaborate with Solutions Engineers and inside‑sales teams to close deals.
• Prepare and lead sales meetings, negotiate agreements, and hand over accounts to Customer Success Managers.
• Manage renewals on time and on budget, proactively identifying cross‑sell and upsell opportunities.
• Monitor sales forecasts using tools such as Clari and adjust strategies as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within scientific, research, or technology solutions.
• Strong consultative selling approach with the ability to understand and address client needs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Experience with sales enablement and forecasting tools (e.g., Clari).
• Familiarity with solution‑selling processes and account planning.
